Black Pearl: Your Cozy Café Retreat in Plainsboro

5 stars all around! I love this place. The owner is the sweetest woman and makes the coffee shop feel so cozy and at home. I go there for my iced latte and it has easily replaced every chain store near by. The place is always so nice and the owner as well. 10/10 for everything. The area needed a little coffee shop like this so i hope you all come and check it out!

We dropped in for breakfast. The coffee was great and the various pastries and pies. Everything has amazing. We ordered Spinach turnover, cheese danish, egg avocado cheese Sandwich, beef salami and leak and Parma jam turnover, almond raspberry pie croissant. Service was fast and efficient We recommend the Black Pearl.

Found this cute little coffee shop in this old quaint house. Menu is pretty extensive, filled with unique and very tasty treats. We got the Meatlovers sandwich with all the fixin's and Nana's Toast. The sandwich was a handful, but it was so delish I couldn't put it down! Stand by with plenty of napkins, because they stuff that bad boy with a lot of goodness! The Nana's Toast was delicious. It comes on Multigrain bread but they can put it on a bagel or a croissant, which was how we ordered it. The crunch of the cucumbers and carrots paired nicely with the creaminess of the cream cheese and the tang of the vinegarette drizzle. Coffee was delicious as well, very smooth. We are pretty sure whatever you order will not disappoint!

Great espresso! Served in china which is a must for good coffee. They use beans from Stumptown Coffee Roasters, which I like to order for home. I typically drop by in the early morning when it's quiet and have one of their flaky pastries (leek and parmesan is my favorite), but I can also vouch for the "Pearl" sandwich (avocado, salman, tangy dressing) that makes a great lunch.

I already love this place! The atmosphere is very chill, a great place to study for a couple hours. Maria and Brad are super friendly and open to answering any questions. The Vegan Delight is my favorite dish so far. Their Lava Latte is really delicious and I'm not normally a coffee person. I'm so glad there's finally an awesome locally owned coffee shop in town!

What an amazing cozy little place for coffee, pastries or a quick lunch. The staff is super friendly. They have an impressive range of drinks and pastries. My husband and I got coffee and nutella croissant. The croissant was fresh and soft and the coffee was delicious. It was really cold outside so it was a perfect morning for hot coffee. I definitely recommend visiting if you are in the area.

Cute little local cafe in Plainsboro! We were on a trail nearby and went there for Coffee and little something! Tried the almond croissant, it was yummy! A must visit cafe!

Liked their egg bites. They claim organic ingredients. Good coffee. Good place for breakfast or brunch.
